I like to think that the days do in fact get better. Especially if you have the right people in your corner.
I believe that people hide their scars because people do not want to hear the “I am so sorry”. We as human’s mask our scars because we do not always want sympathy, where individuals who hear our stories feel sorry for them. Rather if a person does choose to show their scars and reveal their truth, it is a significant weight that is constantly being carried by keeping personal matters locked away.
I liked how your ending brought everything full circle, since your story had so many questions and you concluded with an answer.

There are some scars that are too painful to ever see the light of day and share with anyone. They must be dealt with personally and allow oneself to heal privately.
