[ From The Wounds, That Are On The Inside? ]

[ It Is Because Those Are The One’s That Hurts
     The Most ]
[ The Nerves Could Be As Fried As Burnt Toast ]

[ Ready To Crumble Or Break ]
[ Easy To Make ]
[ Not Easy To Fake ]

[ Covered By Lies ]
[ Not Easily Seen By Others Eyes ]

[ The Scars Are Hidden For Reasons Only You Would
     Know ]
[ They Will Be Hidden By Layers Of Clothes So They
     Don’t Show ]

[ It Is Not That You Are Embarrassed That They Are There ]
[ There Is Always A Story Behind Them ]
[ That You Don’t Care ]
[ To Share ]

[ The Scars Are Jagged & Deep ]
[ The Memories Of What Caused Them ]
[ Won’t Let You Sleep ]

[ You Fight Through The Nightmares That They Caused ]
[ Waiting To Hit The Play Button ]
[ After Your Life Was Put On Pause ]

[ Do The Days Ever Get Any Better? ]
[ Do The Clouds Ever Change The Weather? ]

[ The Answer Is Always ( YES ) ]
[ Sometimes You’ll Have To Clean Up This Mess ]

  1. I like to think that the days do in fact get better. Especially if you have the right people in your corner.

    I believe that people hide their scars because people do not want to hear the “I am so sorry”. We as human’s mask our scars because we do not always want sympathy, where individuals who hear our stories feel sorry for them. Rather if a person does choose to show their scars and reveal their truth, it is a significant weight that is constantly being carried by keeping personal matters locked away.

    I liked how your ending brought everything full circle, since your story had so many questions and you concluded with an answer.
