What traditions have you not kept that your parents had?
[ This Question Kind Of Hit Me Between The Eyes & Caused Me To Be A Little Sad ]
[ For The Life Of Me ]
[ I Cannot Remember A Single Tradition That Was Handed Down To From My Mom & Dad ]
[ They Never Stressed Different Ways ]
[ To Celebrate The Holidays ]
[ Don Never Taught Me Anything Fun ]
[ He Never Started ]
[ So He Was Never Done ]
[ When It Was His Time To Be One Of The Dearly Departed ]
[ I Found Out That He Never Even Wanted To Adopt A Son ]
[ I Guess If I Ever Needed To Put Him In A Class ]
[ I Would Take A Pass ]
[ The Only Label I Would Give Him ]
[ Is That He Is Being Remembered As Being An Ass! ]
[ Now That He Has Passed ]
[ Much Of What He Said To Me Was Not Positive ]
[ So The Point Did Not Last ]
[ In What Little Time That I Spent With Him Years Before He Died ]
[ I Never Lied ]
[ When I Have Told Others That There Were Only (2) Pleasant Years Living By His Side ]
[ Because From What I Have Remembered ]
[ He Was More Or Less A Dr. Jekyl & Mr. Hyde ]
[ Neither Don Nor Barbara Ever Took The Time ]
[ To Even Show Me The Difference ]
[ Between A Lemon Or A Lime ]
[ If Someone Ever Wanted To Use That Example As A Reference ]
[ Send Me A Dime ]
[ The Main Problem ]
[ From What You Can See ]
[ Traditions Did Not Mean A Damn Thing To Either Of Them ]
[ Whatever Those Might Be ]
[ Don Did Teach Me How To Drive ]
[ So I Guess One Tradition That He Did Hand Down ]
[ Was To Stay On The Right Hand Side Of The Road If I Wanted To Stay Alive ]
[ I Must Confess ]
[ That Sounds Kind Of Meaningless ]
[ But Hey, It Was Something ]
[ Because As I Look Back Over Everything ]
[ Don & Barbara Never Taught Me Anything ]
