[ Is Lay Down Their Lives To Save Us All ]

[ Be It Running Into A Burning House ]
[ Or Getting In-Between A Person & Their Angry Spouse ]

[ The House May Have The Walls Falling In ]
[ On Itself ]
[ The Other Spouse May Have Sin ]
[ On Their Mind, Directed @ Someone Else ]

[ A Hero Can Come In The Form Of A Paramedic,
Fireman, Policeman Or Soldier ]
[ It’s Not That A Hero Must Be Older ]
[ It’s That They Must Be Bolder ]

[ Soldiers Go To War Often Against A Faceless Enemy ]
[ They Put Their Lives On The Line ]
[ To Protect The Rights For Us In America To Live Free ]

[ They’ll Never Meet Me Today Or Tomorrow ]
[ Because Of What They Do ]
[ They Could Be Confronted With Death Or Sorrow ]

[ But Who Is There For Them During Those Restless
Nights ]
[ When The Wrong Memory ]
[ Could Cause Them Night Sweats & Fright ]

[ We Always Go Home @ The End Of The Day ]
[ & Things Are Alright ]
[ Who Checks On The Heroic To Make Sure Things Are
Okay? ]

[ Heroes Are Born Because That Is Not A Learned
Behavior ]
[ Not Just Anyone Has The Courage To Be A Soldier ]

[ Sometimes Kids Will Point To A Picture & Say (I WANT
TO GROW-UP & BE JUST LIKE HIM) ]
[ That Man’s Name Could Be Hank, Billy Or Jim ]
[ But This Courage Isn’t Taught From A Book ]
[ When Push Comes To Shove, It Comes From Within ]

[ When One Is Asked (HOW DID YOU DO THAT

[ They’ll Probably Just Shrug & Say (I DON’t KNOW,
