[ Stuck Inside ]
[ Society Was Not Even Able To Take This In Stride ]

[ There Were Whispers About It (1) Day ]
[ & Then Boom ]
[ It Was Like An In-Law That Over Did Their Stay ]

[ The World Has Had It’s Epidemics ]
[ Before ]
[ But This Became A Pandemic ]
[ As It Burst Through The Door ]

[ No Knocking, No Ringing Of The Doorbell ]
[ You Knew You Tested Positive ]
[ When You Lost Your Sense Of Taste & Smell ]

[ That Made Everybody To Quarantine In Place ]
[ Not Tomorrow Or The Next ]
[ No, You Were Supposed To Quarantine En Haste ]

[ The World Lost More Than ½ A Million People ]
[ That Put Some Families In A Deep Hole ]

[ Because Some Families Lost The Person Who Used To Steer
     Their Ship ]
[ They Used To Be A Beacon Of Light ]
[ But Now They Are Just A Blip ]

[ Some Ships Are Rudderless ]
[ Reaching Down & Pulling The Pin Of Their Duress ]

[ Getting On The Radio That The Distress ]
[ Is Truly A Mess ]

[ Then What Is This (CANCEL CULTURE?) ]
[ Is It A Population Vulture? ]

[ Something That Comes Down From The Sky & Shouts ]
