Where did your name come from?

[ When I Was Born, I Was Named After My Father ]

[ After My Father Took His Own Life, My Sister & I Got Put Into Foster Care ]

[ While In Our 3rd Foster Home, We Got Legally Adopted, Thereby Changing Our Last Name ]

[ This Was The Name I Went By Growing Up ]

[ I Became Estranged With That Dad In My Early 40’s ]

[ Well, One Day In 2011, I Woke-Up & Had An Epiphany. I Never Liked The Last Name That I Got Stuck With, Or Had Any Kind Of Emotional Attachment To It. Since That Man Wrote Me Out Of His Life In 2009, I Felt That He Did Not Deserve To Have His Last Name Carried Into The Future, By My Son. After Talking With My Wife, We Decided To Change Our Families Last Name To Her Maiden Name ]

[ Her Father Has Been A Bigger & Better Influence On Me Than The Dad That Raised Me. I Was Also Told In My 40’s By The Mom That Raised Me, That They Never Wanted To Adopt A Boy. They Only Wanted To Adopt My Sister, Therefore Making Me The “& One”. See Why That Man’s Name Did Not Deserve To Be Carried Forward? ]

[ I Carry My Wife’s Maiden Name With Honor. I Carry My Connection To My Wife’s Dad With Love & Pride. That Is The Last Name That I Proudly Put @ The End Of My Stories! ]

[ I Only Have One Regret In This Whole Thing … I Wish I Would Have Had This Idea Years Before 2011! ]

[ The First Time I Rode In A Very Used Pick-Up Truck, With (2) Good Friends ]

[ I Have Been Told That “Murphy’s Law” Works Twice Against Me ]

[ On The Drive Up “The Al-Can Highway” Some Parts Of The Highway Was Under Construction ]

[ By The Time We Arrived, We Had To Fly Out The Next Day ]

[ (2) Years Later That Same Friend Flew Me Back Up To Alaska, To Be His Best Man @ His Wedding. Had To Fly Out The Next Day ]

[ (2) Trips Up To Alaska, But Was Unable To Sight See @ All! ]

[ Last Month My Beautiful Wife Took Me On An Errand ]

[ She Took Me To An ATM ]

[ When We Pulled Into The Parking Lot, I Noticed What I Thought Was A Homeless Man Sitting In A Small Patch Of Grass ]

[ We Parked & I Got Out ]

[ I Went To The ATM & Got What I Came There For ]

[ Well, Maybe Just A Little More Then I Originally Thought I Would ]

[ I Walked Over To The Man & Said, “Hello” ]

[ The Man Was Polite ]

[ He Was Very Unsure Of The Reason Why I Came Up To Talk To Him, Though ]

[ I Reached In My Pocket & Gave Him Some Money ]

[ He Was Quite Shocked, But Said, “Thank You” ]

[ I Said, “You’re Welcome” ]

[ I Got Back In Our Car & We Went Home ]
