[ & How He Gave Care ]

[ I Did Not See Him Set A Broken Bone Or Diagnose A
     Brain Tumor ]
[ But I Thought That He Was Very Personable ]
[ & Had A Great Sense Of Humor ]

[ I Continued To Observe ]
[ & See If He Had A Steady Nerve ]

[ Everybody Seemed To Like Him ]
[ & He Them ]

[ So After One Of The Evenings, Entertainment One Night ]
[ I Got Up The Courage ]
[ To Get Over My Fright ]

[ I Went Up To Dr. Peffley ]
[ To See ]
[ If He Could Be A Dr. For Me ]

[ So I Took On The Task ]
[ To Hide How Nervous I Was ]
[ As I Stepped Towards Him To Ask ]

[ I Did Not Give Him Another Choice ]

[ He Looked @ Me @ First, With An Expressionless Face ]

[ That Comment Stumbled Me For A Second ]

[ It Would Have Been Awhile ]
[ If Dr. Peffley Hadn’t Been Standing There Now, With A Big Smile ]

     IN PLACE, RIGHT?) ]
[ He Seemed To Understand My Plight ]

[ So Started A Longtime Dr./Patient ]

[ But Now We Had To Find The Space Where All Of Our Buses

[ As We Walked Through That Hotel Door ]
[ It Hit Me That I Have Never Been To Canada Before ]

[ Some Of Us Weren’t Wearing Any Shoes ]
