A Kid ]

[ Memories Can Be Good, Or Bad ]
[ They Take You Back To When You Were Happy ]

[ Not All Memories Are About Good Times ]

[ I Am Not Always Happy About All Of The Finished Rhymes ]

[ Time & Time Again, It Just Didn’t Sound Right ]

[ They Are Usually The One With The Biggest Thirst ]

[ Yesterday, I Found My Dog All Sprawled Out On Her Back ]
[ She Definitely Was Not The Recipient Of A Surprise Attack ]

[ I Walked Closer To Her & Noticed That There Were Party Poppers
     All Over The Yard ]
[ Freckles, What Happened Here In Our Back Yard? ]

[ They All Seemed To Have Had A Good Time ]
[ But On Whose Dime? ]

[ There Were Empty Bottles, Cans & One Small Keg ]
[ C’mon Guys, Is It Too Small Of A Beg? ]
[ & By The Way ,]
[ Whose Lamp Is That In The Shape Of A Leg? ]

[ My Dog Has Even Borrowed The Next Door Neighbors Sons
     Big Boom Box For Sound ]
[ From What I Hear From Our Neighbors ]
[ The Music Shook The Ground ]

[ For Her, It Wasn’t All About The Bass ]
[ Because The Fun Starts When See’s A Cat ]
[ Than It Would Be All About The Chase! ]

[ It Is Not Very Often That Your Dog Graduates From Obedient
     Studies ]
[ Now Her Dog & My Dog Can Be Walking Buddies ]

[ Her Dog & Mine Used To Fetch Sticks Together ]
[ But Stopped When We Started Getting Nasty Weather ]

[ I Never Thought That (2) Dogs Could Be Gay ]
[ But If My Girl Is Happy ]
[ Than Things Are Okay ]

[ After My Girl Went To The Dowtown Clinic ]
[ Her Girl Was Apprehensive About Where She Went ]
[ Because Everybody Knows What Kinds Of Dogs Are In It ]

[ My Dog Has A Temper When It Comes To Others Talking Smack
     About Little One’s ]
[ For Those That Do ]
[ Chasing Them Down Would Be Alot Of Fun ]

[ That Is Where Her Dream Always Stops & She Has To Face
     Reality ]
[ Whenever The (2) Dogs Get Together, They Both Agree ]

[ That If Puppies Are Involved ]
[ Their Discussion Has Been Resolved ]
[ The Mystery Has Been Solved ]

[ My Little Girl Would Be The Carrier Of The Next Generation ]
[ This Decision Causes Zero Consternation  ]

[ Both Families Respect The Others Dog )
[ No One Has Any Fog ]
[ & Show Respect To Each Other, With A Head Nod ]

[ They Say That Doctors Cure ]
[ & Nurses Care ]
[ What Is For Sure ]
[ Is That The Nurses Are Always There ]

[ They Stand By Your Side As Long As They Can ]
[ They Will Wipe Away Your Tears ]
[ & Hold Your Hand ]

[ The Nurses Are The Ones That Write The Story ]
[ While It’s The Doctors ]
[ That Rush In To Grab The Glory ]

[ The Nurses Do What The Doctors Don’t ]
[ The Nurses Complete The Tasks ]
[ That The Doctors Won’t ]

[ I Spent 11 Days In The Hospital Earlier In My Life ]
[ It Was A Nurse ]
[ Who Reached Out & Held The Hand Of My Wife ]

[ To Calm Her Fears ]
[ It Was What That Nurse Said ]
[ That Stopped Her Tears ]

[ When I Was Admitted, No One Knew What To Think ]
[ The Answer Wasn’t Found ]
[ In A Single Blink ]

[ 11 Days Felt More Like Over Two Weeks ]
[ During That Time ]
[ I Walked Through A lot Of Valleys & Climbed A lot Of
Peaks ]

[ I Remember That On The Second Day The Doctor Tried To
Discharge Me ]
[ My Wife Asked A Nurse How Can This Be? ]

[ They Knew I Didn’t Suffer With Cancer ]
[ But They Also Knew ]
[ They Did Not Have The Answers ]

[ The Nurses Checked On Me Around The Clock ]
[ Everyday They Urged Me ]
[ To Get Up & Walk ]
[ Oftentimes The Nurses Were The Only Ones Who Would Stop
In & Talk ]

[ The Times When I Was Stressing ]
[ Conversing With The Nurses ]
[ Was A Blessing ]

[ Nurses Deal With People @ Their Very Worst ]
[ & In Pain ]
[ They Show That A Bag Of Gold Is What They Are Worth ]
[ Again & Again ]

[ My Hat Goes Off To All Nurses, Especially Those Who Nursed
Me Back To Good Health ]
[ You All Should Be Extremely Proud Of Yourselves ]

[ Everyday … Every Single Day ]
[ You Are Definitely Underpaid ]

[ Day In & Day Out ]
[ I Shout ]
[ Without A Doubt ]

[ To Each & EVERY One Of You! ]

[ Sometimes There Are People There With Intentions That Are
Not All Too Nice ]
[ In The Park Downtown ]
[ I Think That Has Happened More Than Twice ]

[ That Person Is Screwed ]

     Society Right Now ]
[ Society Was Just Walking Around ]
[ & Then POW ]
[ The ‘VID19 Struck! ]
[ It Hit So Hard ]
[ Nobody Had Time To Duck ]
[ & Then We Were Stuck ]

[ Stuck Inside ]
[ Society Was Not Even Able To Take This In Stride ]

[ There Were Whispers About It (1) Day ]
[ & Then Boom ]
[ It Was Like An In-Law That Over Did Their Stay ]

[ The World Has Had It’s Epidemics ]
[ Before ]
[ But This Became A Pandemic ]
[ As It Burst Through The Door ]

[ No Knocking, No Ringing Of The Doorbell ]
[ You Knew You Tested Positive ]
[ When You Lost Your Sense Of Taste & Smell ]

[ That Made Everybody To Quarantine In Place ]
[ Not Tomorrow Or The Next ]
[ No, You Were Supposed To Quarantine En Haste ]

[ The World Lost More Than ½ A Million People ]
[ That Put Some Families In A Deep Hole ]

[ Because Some Families Lost The Person Who Used To Steer
     Their Ship ]
[ They Used To Be A Beacon Of Light ]
[ But Now They Are Just A Blip ]

[ Some Ships Are Rudderless ]
[ Reaching Down & Pulling The Pin Of Their Duress ]

[ Getting On The Radio That The Distress ]
[ Is Truly A Mess ]

[ Then What Is This (CANCEL CULTURE?) ]
[ Is It A Population Vulture? ]

[ Something That Comes Down From The Sky & Shouts ]
[ (YOU’re OUT!?) ]

[ Confusing In The Least ]
[ Once Again … Was This From The East? ]

[ The World Cannot Keep Blaming Them ]
[ They Are Not Always The Problem ]
