[ Would Be Physical & Financial Security ]

[ I Choose To Live Out The Rest Of My Life]

[ In The Arms Of My Beautiful Wife ]

[ We Met In The Early Summer Of 1994 ]

[ Once I Saw Her Inner Beauty Standing In Front Of My Apartment Door ]

[ I Asked Her If I Could Please See Her More ]

[ In March Of 1996 We Got Married In Her Catholic Church ]

[ I Was Surprised That The Was Did Not Bleed When I Stood Up Front ]

[ The Vows Did Not Hurt ]

[ & It Did Not Feel Like A Kick In The Butt ]

[ I Still Wear My Wedding Ring Proudly ]

[ Always Tell My I Love Her Rather Loudly ]

[ Security Is A Must ]

[ Security Takes Alot Of Trust ]

If you could host a dinner and anyone you invite was sure to come, who would you invite?

[ The Very First Person I Would Invite Would Be My Biological Father. He Committed Suicide Before My 3rd Birthday. I Never Got Time To Know Him ]

[ I Would Invite My Brother, Who Passed Away Before The ‘VID’19 Shut Everything Down. We Had A Trip Planned To See Him & His Daughter, But He Died (2) Weeks Before Our Trip. He Was Not Ill, He Died In His Sleep, He Was Only 55yrs Old. We Were Separated As Infants, But My Wife Tracked Him Down Living In North Carolina, In 1996. The Trip That Was Planned Would Have Only Been The 2nd Time Seeing Each Other As Adults ]

[ The Third Person I Would Invite Would Be My Sister. We Stuck Together Through All Of The Trials Of Our Mother’s Physical Abuse, Our Father’s Suicide In Front Of Us, 2 Abusive Foster Homes & The Ups & Downs Of Growing Up. We Were Not Quite A Year Apart In Age. Things Changed In Middle School Though. I Had Always Been Involved In Sports & She Got Involved With The Wrong People. She Chose Drugs Over Life. Homelessness Over Stability. Being Arrested Over Staying Calm ]

[ The Fourth Person I Would Invite Would Be My Loving Wife Of Almost 30yrs. Of Course She Would Go, She Has Been My Best Friend & Partner For Over 31yrs ]

[ No One Else, Though ]

[ She Came Into Your Life Like A Flash ]
[ Her Love Could Not Be Bought With Cash ]
[ Now Your Heart Is Just A Pile Of Ash ]
 
[ That Pile Is All You Have Remaining Of The Time You (2) Were Together ]
[ Her Moods Changed As Fast As The Oregon Weather ]
   
[ Sometimes It Rained ]
[ When She Got Angry & Hostile ]
[ What Did She Gain? ]
[ For Awhile? ]
[ Then She Would Refrain ]
[ From Giving You A Smile ]

[ Those Times Did Neither One Of Us A Bit Of Good, She Would Say ]
[ If It Was @ A Job ]
[ She Wouldn’t Have Earned Any Pay ]

[ But It Wasn’t, So You Could ]
[ Even If You Couldn’t ]
[ You Would ]

[ They’d Say, “Sorry, Mike” ]
[ “This Is Not The Best Way” ]
[ “To Earn Your Pay” ]
[ It Seemed Like That Night After Night ]
[ & Day After Day ]

[ You Were Concerned About How Does One Learn To Touch? ]
[ Not Too Little ]
[ Or Not Too Much? ]

[ How Does One Find The Balance Between The (2)? ]
[ You Could Throw A Shoe ]
[ But Wouldn’t That Be The Wrong Thing To Do? ]
[ Says, “She?” ]
[ Says Who? ]

[ But It Wouldn’t Be Hard ]
[ To Use The “UNO Reverse” Card ]

[ What Would That Mean ]
[ In The Bigger Scheme ]
[ Of Things? ]

[ Would It Mean Having A Clear Path? ]
[ In The Subject Of Math? ]
[ Or Being Given A Shield ]
[ From The Next Woman’s Wrath? ]

[ Would That Wrath Be Not Needed Or Unwanted? ]
[ So You Will Be Undaunted? ]

[ In The Face Of Evil ]
[ Trying To Stay Civil ]

[ Maybe, The Best Thing Would Be To Just Walk Away ]
[ Then See If It Really Mattered ]
[ When The Next Woman Chooses To Stay ]
[ Because You Don’t Like Feeling Battered ]

[ Walking Around Our All-Inclusive Resort Was Beautiful & Relaxing ]

[ We Were Even Able To Take A Boat Ride To The Island Of Kokomo, That Was Made Famous By The Beach Boys ]

[ We Were Able To Walk Around The Whole Island In Under An Hour ]

[ But When The Sun Starts Setting ]
[ You Can See That Some Of The Branches Are Crying ]

[ You Have Not Seen Nor Ever Heard Of Such A Thing ]
[ What Is Next? ]
[ Finding Out That The Leaves That Are On The Ground Can Sing? ]
[ The Bushes Alongside The Driveway Have The Ability To Send You A Text? ]

[ You Have Racked Your Brain About The Number Of Blank Texts That You Have Chased ]
[ Now You Find ]
[ That The Texts Are Not From People That You Have Never Faced ]

[ You Have Heard Of Wild Stories ]
[ All Of Them Were Extremly Boring ]
[ They Would Be Extremely Sure & Fit ]
[ Into Dreams That Had You Snoring ]

[ Even Though The Answer Kind Of Makes Sense ]
[ It Still Has You Riding The Fence ]
[ On Whether Or Not The Answer Causes You To Feel Tense ]

[ Most People Who Will Hear It ]
[ Would Immediately Yell, “Bullshit!” ]

[ They Tend To Have To Hear It Themselves ]
[ Instead Of Being Told A Story ]
[ From Someone Else ]

[ Then They Would Become The Story Tellers ]
[ & Then Everyone Else Can Be ]
[ The Ones That Think That You Are One Of Those Truth Sellers ]

[ Trying To Sell You The Truth Through An Act ]
[ Not The Ones That Lay It Out As A Fact ]

[ If Someone Is Taken Aback ]
[ You Should Cut Them Some Slack ]
[ It Wasn’t Too Long Ago ]
[ Where You Only Thought In Terms Of White Or Black ]

[ You Thought That Everyone That Believed Was A Heavy Drinker ]

[ & How The Other Person Reacts ]

[ A Man Could Think That He Was Being Romantic By Buying Her A Rose ]
[ But His Partner Has Allergies ]
[ So It Affects Her Nose ]

[ She Won’t Like Candy On Any Day ]
[ She Thinks The Pounds Won’t Look Good On Her ]
[ Then When She Talks About Tooth Decay ]
[ She Seems So Sure ]

[ Romance Is In The Eye Of The Beholder ]
[ As The Guy Gets Older ]
[ His Resolve To Do Something Romantic Grows Colder ]
[ Instead Of Bolder ]

[ Sometimes People Will Look @ A Hopeless Romantic ]
[ & Thinks He Acts Like A Crazy Lunatic ]

[ Some Women Think Chivalry Is Dead ]
[ In The Water ]
[ Is It All In Their Head ]
[ Because They Never Saw A Sign Of It Coming From Their Father ]

[ When You Have Been Married For ½ Of Your Life ]
[ You Still Try To Do Romantic Actions For Your  Wife ]

[ Don’t Tell Her A Lie ]
[ As A Way To Begin ]

[ Romance In A Marriage Is Still A Thing ]

[ Then Watch The Kinds Of Comments That Will Bring ]
