[ The Nurses Do What The Doctors Don’t ]
[ The Nurses Complete The Tasks ]
[ That The Doctors Won’t ]

[ I Spent 11 Days In The Hospital Earlier In My Life ]
[ It Was A Nurse ]
[ Who Reached Out & Held The Hand Of My Wife ]

[ To Calm Her Fears ]
[ It Was What That Nurse Said ]
[ That Stopped Her Tears ]

[ When I Was Admitted, No One Knew What To Think ]
[ The Answer Wasn’t Found ]
[ In A Single Blink ]

[ 11 Days Felt More Like Over Two Weeks ]
[ During That Time ]
[ I Walked Through A lot Of Valleys & Climbed A lot Of
Peaks ]

[ I Remember That On The Second Day The Doctor Tried To
Discharge Me ]
[ My Wife Asked A Nurse How Can This Be? ]

[ They Knew I Didn’t Suffer With Cancer ]
[ But They Also Knew ]
[ They Did Not Have The Answers ]

[ The Nurses Checked On Me Around The Clock ]
[ Everyday They Urged Me ]
[ To Get Up & Walk ]
[ Oftentimes The Nurses Were The Only Ones Who Would Stop
In & Talk ]

[ The Times When I Was Stressing ]
[ Conversing With The Nurses ]
[ Was A Blessing ]

[ Nurses Deal With People @ Their Very Worst ]
[ & In Pain ]
[ They Show That A Bag Of Gold Is What They Are Worth ]
[ Again & Again ]

[ My Hat Goes Off To All Nurses, Especially Those Who Nursed
Me Back To Good Health ]
[ You All Should Be Extremely Proud Of Yourselves ]

[ Everyday … Every Single Day ]
[ You Are Definitely Underpaid ]

[ Day In & Day Out ]
