[ @ Times The Whole Point, Keeps You In A Haze ]
[ Some Say That It Let’s You Re-Connect With Friends Who
Were Long Lost ]
[ But Is There A Cost? ]
[ Were They Lost For A Good Reason? ]
[ Do You Only Hear From Them, During Football Season? ]
[ Facebook Seems Like A High School Popularity Contest ]
[ You Thought It Could Be Used To Re-Connect? ]
[ You Were Popular Year After Year ]
[ But Facebook Seems To Separate It Only For The Top Tier ]
[ There Were Some People That You Were Happy To Find ]
[ You Guess Through The Past Years Some Of Them Did In Fact
Cross Your Mind ]
[ @ First You Were Accepting (FRIEND REQUESTS) From
Everyone ]
[ & Anyone ]
[ But Then The Quantity Caused You To Go Numb ]
[ & The Thought Of Getting As Many As You Could ]
[ Kind Of Sounded Pretty Dumb ]
[ Did You Have Anything In Common, Besides Your High School? ]
[ When The Numbers Kept Rising You Thought It Was Kind
Of Cool ]
[ Then You Thought That Was The Thinking Of A Fool ]
[ Would You Text Everyone (HELLO!) Everyday? ]
[ There Would Not Really Be Anyway ]
[ That You Could Complete That Task In A Few Minutes, Right?
[ ½ Way Through ]
[ You Would Find It Hard To Want To Continue To Type ]
[ (1) Day You Took Some Time To Read Down The List ]
[ There Were Numerous Names, Where You Asked Yourself
(WHO IS THIS?) ]
[ Some Of Them You Had No Clue ]
[ If You Were Standing In Front Of Them On A Sidewalk &
Trying Hard To Not Be Rude ]
[ You Would Ask (OKAY, WHO ARE YOU?) ]
[ We All Look So Different Compared To Back Then ]
[ So When You Look @ The Name ]
[ Are They Still A Friend? ]
[ Do You Even Know What City They Live In Right Now? ]
[ You Might Ask Yourself (HOW?) ]
[ Counting Every Single One Of Them, It Has Been 30 Years Since
You Had Any Kind Of Conversation With Them Face To Face ]
[ You Have Not Even Been In The Same Place ]
[ As Each Other That You Knew Of ]
[ Maybe They Were Walking Under A Bridge ]
[ & Then You Were Walking Up Above ]
[ You Ask Yourself (WHEN?) ]
[ It Could Have Happened ]
[ So You Started To Go Down The List & Hit (UNFRIEND) ]
[ Name After Name,Your Facebook Friendship With Them,
Had Now Come To An End ]
[ You Thought (IT FELT GOOD TO TRIM THAT LIST DOWN) ]
[ You Seriously Thought That Would Not Cause A Single
Frown ]
[ You Never Received Any Backlash ]
[ Or A Message Of Someone Wanting To Come Back ]
[ When You Put Stories On Your FB Page ]
[ Were You Showing Your Age? ]
[ Well, Of Course You Were ]
[ You Know Who Else Was? ]
[ Ummm, Him & Her! ]
[ When You Did Not Get Many (LIKES) Or Comments That Seemed
Disconcerting ]
[ & That Caused A Little Bit Of Hurting ]
[ But It Should Not ]
[ In The Bigger Scheme Of Things In Your World ]
