[ Be Naive About The Power Of The Ocean ]
[ & It Could Sweep You Away ]

[ @ Times The Water Is So Calm & Low ]

[ Hiding With The Next Wave Is An Undertow ]
[ That Might Be Today ]

[ You Don’t See The Undertow, Until It Grabs You By The Feet ]
[ Before You Know It, You’re Knocked Down On To Your Seat ]
[ Swim Hard Against It ]
[ Before You Give In To Defeat ]

[ Today Two Children Lost Their Lives After Being Taken From
     Their Father’s Arms ]
[ Oh The Water Is So Calm & Shallow ]
[ Playing In The Waves Will Bring No Harm ]

[ A Sneaker Wave Came Out Of The Blue ]
[ It Almost Had Three Lives ]
[ But Then Settled On Two ]

[ The Father Was Saved But The Son & Daughter Wasn’t ]
[ In Regular Water The Body’s Would Be Given Back ]
[ But The Ocean Doesn’t ]

[ The Ocean Waves Could Be Called A Thief ]
[ By Stealing Two Children’s Lives ]
[ & Creating A Lifetime Of Grief ]

[ That Some ]
[ Families ]
[ Never Recover From ]
[ The Father Will Probably Forever Be Numb ]
