[ Minutes Drag By, Then They Turn Into Hours ]
[ Everytime You Think Things Are Going Well ]
[ It Turns Upside Down & Sours ]
[ Those That You Thought Were Friends Seem To Jump Ship When
The Waters Get Rough ]
[ You Would Always Listen To Their Problems When Their Lives
Got Tough ]
[ But You Never Thought That They Would Turn Their Back ]
[ It Feels Like Whenever You Spoke Up ]
[ Your Face Got Smacked ]
[ You Always Turned The Other Cheek ]
[ But You Never Corrected The Facts, Whenever They Would Speak ]
[ You Never Put Them On The Spot ]
[ Because They Were Wrong Alot ]
[ One Thing That You Have Come To Realize ]
[ In Your 58 Years ]
[ Is That People Come & Go Throughout All Of Our Lives ]
[ Like Two Ships Passing Each Other On A Very Dark Night ]
[ You Are In Their Thoughts ]
[ Until You Are No Longer In Their Sight ]
[ But This All Goes Full Circle As You Sit Here Alone ]
[ The Silence Gives Off Its Own Peculiar Tone ]
[ & It Has Been Shown ]
[ That It Always Sends A Chill Down To Your Bones ]
[ Do You Have To Turn Around & See What You Don’t See ]
[ & Come To Realize This Is How Your Life, Is Going To Be ]
[ You Could Bet After You Slowly Count, From 1 To 3 ]
[ You Could Look Around & It Would Still Be … ]
