[ Would That Be The Thinking Of Our Elders? ]

[ Through All Of Our Wars Soldiers Died Horrible Deaths
     On The Fields Of Battle ]
[ Through It All ]
[ It Seemed Like Most Of The Soldiers Were Not Rattled ]

[ A Steady Hand When They Were Firing Their Guns ]
[ The Brave Soldier Rarely Runs ]

[ They Were There For Battle, Only ]
[ Most Of The Soldiers That Died ]
[ Died Cold & Lonely ]

[ Most Never Saw It Coming ]
[ The Numbers Were Mind Numbing ]

[ There Is No One More Loyal Person Than A Soldier Defending The
     Only Country That They Have Ever Loved ]
[ That Is The Place Where They Have Not Felt Snubbed ]

[ Trying To Defend Our Flag ]
[ So We Won’t Live In A Country Where People Who Speak
     Their Minds Are Bound & Gagged ]

[ The Flag Is A Symbol Of Peace ]
[ Where People Try To Own A Home ]
[ Not Have To Get One On A Lease ]

[ On A Lease, They Eventually Have To Give It Back ]
[ Then When They Get The Option To Buy It ]
[ It Is The Money That They Lack ]

[ When The Lease Is Up They Must Lease Another One ]
[ They Will Find Out That Constantly Moving Is Not
     Very Fun ]

[ The Soldier ]
[ As They Grow Older ]

[ Feels Like Others Are So Ungrateful ]
[ & They Also Become Increasingly Forgetful ]

[ Forgetful Of The Sacrifice & Risk That They Made & Took ]
[ The Only Evidence Of The Soldiers Actions ]
[ Are Now Discussed When People Read About Them In
     History Books ]

[ The Soldier Is Our First & Last Line Of Defense ]
[ So When It Comes To Studying History ]
[ The Word (SOLDIER) Should Be In The First & Last Sentence ]

[ Weapons Do Not Fight The War, The Soldiers Do ]
[ Give The Veterans, What They Are Due ]

[ It Is Believed, That There Has Been (580,135) Soldiers Who Have
     Died Serving Our Country ]
[ That Is Quite A Few Who Has Died, So We Could Walk Around
    Being Free ]
